usually what I do is use photoshop to resize the pic and put it to a background color that matches the desktop ..

Go into display properties then to the desktop tab. On the right you will see a drop down box that says Position above it and will probably be set to Stretch.
Click on the drop down arrow then change that so it says Center. Now click on apply. |
