Default -= Start Menu Icons =-

How do I change the Start Menu icons (such as Run, Help and Support, Settings, Search, Favorites, Programs, etc...) in Windows XP? I've tried everything I could find.

I'm thinking that my only choice is to edit the dll's containing the images, but these default icons are in several dll's.. If my only choice is to edit the dll's, which ones do I edit?

NOTE: the dll is not shell32.dll
I edited it in microangelo, put in my new icons, and replaced the original shell32.dll, restarted, and nothing changed.

Thanks.
