muzikool-
thanks for posting the file, i've almost got it running smoothly now. here the few things im still trying to setup: i linked the shutdown/reboot/logoff buttons to the script files, but when using them, i get an error - "expected end of statement", i dont know how to code, but do i just need to add an "end" or something along those lines to each script? with the weather, my city displays a zipcode so "Salem, OR (97304)" instead of just "Salem, OR", is there a way to get it to cut off the zip code? lastly, where did you get your icons for the hd, ram and network stats, any suggestions on sites to browse? thanks for your help |

Concerning the shutdown/reboot/logoff buttons... I did notice that they weren't working correctly but forgot to mention it. The original thread I posted for help with this is here: http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php...=simple+script
You could post there for help because like you, I'm not a coding geek. ![]() I started using a program called iShut, which I have my icons linked to now. It emulates the Mac shutdown prompt, and you can link your icons to it alternatively. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/ieub/beric/programs.html For the weather, I haven't found a real answer for you yet. A way to get around it though is to stretch the box in the editor to just the right size so that it only displays your city and state. I'll let you know if I find the real answer. I included the icons in the zip file, did you want some more options? I got the HD and Network icons from the Snow E.2 set, which I highly recommend and can be found here: http://www.rad-e8.com In addition, you can browse icons at these sites: http://www.wincustomize.com http://www.deviantart.com http://interfacelift.com/ Just to name a few...

Nerd, here are the weather icons you requested. The file size was barely too large to upload here (1.4MB).

I figured out how to get the zip out of the config file, I'll just have to take a look when I'm back on my main box.

@khs - Did you get everything running smoothly? I'd like to know if you're satisfied with how it turned out.
@Nerd - Do you have the weather icons in your config now? Both of you should post a screenshot of what your configs look like... I always enjoy looking at what people have done.

i was able to adapt your config to my computer, had that up running smoothly and then decided to look into what else i could add.
downloaded a few modules, so now i have your modified config, the CNN headlines, and listings for a few tv stations. just as soon as i finished, i felt that it was too cluttered, so i will probably go back in and revamp/remove some of the stuff i put in. i'll post again in a few days when i finish |

@khs - That looks great! I'm glad you were able to use mine and build off of it. It's fun to get started with a working config and then customize and add to it.
![]() @Beginning - The basis for that config is attached on the previous page, labeled "Infomix.zip." It's the bottom of the 3 that are on his config. |

as muzikool stated, my config is just a modification of what was originally posted. the news and tv listings come from scripts that i found on the samurize site, all i did was a little re-arranging. (not sure whether it is ok to include those files instead of just giving links...?)
Anyway, here is my config....(i think everything is included) |

many thanks Beginning. I love your configs. Someday I will have to sit down and make one from scratch so you can download it.

Would someone have a look at my latest SS and tell me how I can get this to work? I was really hoping to get the trash thingy running without YsDock, just samurize. But I don't know how to make sam change .png's when the recycle bin folder is updated...
Any ideas anyone?
