Dont know what system to get[ps3slim,xbox 360,wii]

So I havent own a single system my whole life except a gameboy and I play off friends systems xbox, ps3, and wii. Now its my time to own a system. Wii ,to me, focuses on multiplayer but I love the graphics on a ps3 and more of my friends own xbox. I am wondering what system everyone else here has and what theyd rate the consoles.

Wii is what I have and only one that interests me out of this current generation of consoles. I do most my gaming on my Windows box though as that's what has MMOs and that is really where my heart is.

Personally, I cannot stand the 360. I am not paying extra money to play games online $100 for wifi and why Xbox live is so popular i will never understand. i can care less about the avatars and the rest. plus the RROD is expected. not worth the trouble.

If you want to play games and just games, go with the PS3, blu-ray is a plus and the rest is logical.

The Wii is goo if you like Nintendo games, Mario etc...... The Wii does have alot of shovelware. I have the console and only play it when family comes over for bowling and boom blox

I read a stat the other day that the Xbox 360 failure rate was over 50%, but over 50% said that would not persuade them from getting one.

go with the PS3. I own a Wii and i am planning on getting a ps3 cause sometimes i just want to enjoy a game with good graphics without standing up ans stuff like that. like you said wii is a multilayer console. never been much of a xbox fan.

Not sure I've played a "stand up" Wii game in a while. Not all games for the Wii are Wii Fit and the like.

that would be the only reason i would own a wii is for golden eye. i enjoy 360 better for online play even if i have to pay. I say its more your preference since everybody's opinion is different

I own both the 360 and the PS3 slim.

Go with the PS3

The 360 is guarranteed to fail eventually because of a design flaw on a heat-sink. That and as mentioned before, you will need to spend more money for wifi and other things.

I'm really happy with my PS3 although I do most of my gaming on my PC... the consoles are mostly for my kid
