( oh well ... its comforting to know that everyone in my area is clammoring to get one. there were lines today infront of gamestop and eb filled by people who waited 8 hours for a shipment of wiis.

Go into the Wii menu check messages then create a new one send it to an email address that you own , you will recieve the invite to become a friend of that Wii and your number is the same as your Wii email address - the w in front

Wii message board > create message > address book

There it will show your Wii consoles number. If you already have entries in your address book just push plus or minus on the remote until you get back to your consoles number.

you will receive an email on your wii saying that they want to add you. Its just like you adding somebody to your list and it sends them a confirmation email

lol. i don't mind saying it. I LOVE PLAYIN WIT MY WII!!!!

edit: by the way..... has anyone figured out if there's a way to turn off that stupid little think on the message boards that tells you how long you played whatever the hell you played on whatever the hell day you played it? seriously get's annoying looking at the message boards thinking "OOH, i got a message"... only to find that crap.

and i'm assuming that with WiiConnect24 on, when i DO get a mail message, the drive slot will glow blue?
