LOS ANGELES -- Aug 29, 2005 -- Soda consumption rates have skyrocketed beyond belief. Analysts believe this sudden trend can be attributed to the "Xbox-factor" - a sudden and insatiable urge to consume as many bottles of soda as possible in a desperate attempt to win a shiny new Xbox 360, Microsoft's next-generation gaming console. No deaths due to overconsumption have been reported so far, although there have been sightings of angry mobs of drooling geeks chasing individuals triumphantly wielding winning bottle-caps.
