I sent some screenshots of the new Windows Mobile themes over to Long Zheng (from www.istartedsomething.com ) two days ago and I can’t help be amused at how far they have already spread around the internet. Perhaps I should have posted them up myself, but I wanted to go a little more in depth and cover my experiences with Windows Mobile 6.5 and what we can look forward to with its release.
The Windows operating system for desktops and servers aren’t the only versions getting a new release this year as Microsoft are also releasing Windows Mobile 6.5 and rebranding the lot of them as Windows Phones.
Windows Mobile 6.1 seemed like a minor upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.0 and although the Standard version received an update to its interface the Professional (or touch screen) version did not. Changes included mostly things for Enterprise such as domain enrolment and compatibility with System Center Mobile Device Manager.

So here we go, this post is completely irrelevent to technology and completely and utterly getting in the way of my review of the HP mini as a few thoughts about the HP PhotoSmart and MediaSmart - but I am doing it anyway.
So in Summer of 2007 I decided one day I wanted a fish tank so I rocked on down to Porton and during the selection of tanks it suddenly dawned on me that I could go ahead and make it tropical with the addition of a heater
So, I wanted to take this seriously so I got it setup - waited a week to let the bacterial agents do their thing and convert the ammonia into nitrates and then the nitrates into nitrates (or was it the other way around?)
My 15 litre tank was'nt very big at all and was only support a single fish to start with (or I was playing it safe) - this fish was a Synodontis - a type of catfish and I still have him today, two of them infact.
I experimented with more fish such as Kryptopterus bicirrhis (glass...

Welcome to my first blog about Windows 7, I hope to be making regular blogs about my personal experiences with the betas and release candidates where I am able!
Apologies for the audio on both, but I seem to have left my mic on while recording and was talking rubbish on the phone!
So I saw some shaky cam footage the other day and really wanted to put something of better quality out there.
It is also an opportunity for me to leave my first thoughts about Windows 7 as I have been playing with it now since the start of November.
First things first, here is the build that was given to WinHEC attendees loading added for the sake of comparison:
Admittedly fairly unexciting although you can already see that the general quality of the bootscreen is higher.
This early milestone build has an interface very similar to that of Vista which has already been replaced by newer builds and it is definately very much a...

I have just added a new addition to the OSNN forums and if you are reading this then you have found it!
Blogs have been enabled for the moderators, administrators, news posters, elite members and subscribers for the time being while I test and may well be expanded later depending on how things go.

I saw this film last night with Victoria and it was certainly a good continuation of the original and still fairly believable although the whole film came about because of a very unlikely series of events – the wife of the facilities caretaker is rescued and happens to be a carrier for the disease without other symptoms. Was that a spoiler? You most likely could have guessed that things don’t go so well.
Seeing the derelict streets of London was also interesting, considering the amount of cash it must have cost to actually clear the few shown streets in the original, I suspect a lot of it was computer generated this time around although it was fascinating to see Wembley stadium with long grass and a Longbow Apache firing into the streets of London and generally a lot of familiar landmarks in serious need of repair or being destroyed.
Was also interesting to follow the progress of one of...
