Well I was going to post something, but it seems my time these days is so short? What is happening? I will get the photos posted that I took at CES2006 soon I hope, but I doubt I will write a report as there has been enough. But maybe a few words...

The event was pretty damn big and there was plenty to see, I know alot of Microsoft guys were excited about going but I spoke to Bryant from Coolermaster and he said it was just like any other day in the office, ah well. Spoke to him about getting more affiliated with www.osnn.net as well which is great - I have spent quite alot on their gear after all.

Was good to see my Zen won best of show, it is a damn nice device after all, although I didn't quite have enough to watch movies all the way back. Damn thing is a scratch magnet though so I am going to have to take good care of it.

Obviously as it was Microsoft that flew me out there, I learnt alot about Microsoft product, some stuff I can talk about as well as some stuff I can't talk about, although Jed told me that we were allowed to talk about the emotions of it all, but is screaming "****ing hell!" in your head really an emotion? Only time will tell.

Excellent event overall and I was interviewed by the x64 team as well as making an appearance after Major Nelson (I didn't know it was him at the time - doh!) on the Chris Pirillo show where we talked about everything but technology. As I have said, I think I offended the french, australians and people with ginger hair all in the space of about 10 minutes. Thats a good effort, no?

Elsewhere, I have been playing alot of World of Warcraft ( with the guys from www.conviction-guild.org ) but it hasn't been taking up all my time. I am getting quite into this game again and am looking forward to the expansion. The guild is making excellent progress and still having fun, although I am pretty sure there are some Spanish guys in there that really should perhaps get out a little more.

Rig pimpage?
It was going so well but then disaster struck. I think I gave my PC a bit of whiplash when trying to get the air out. I have ordered a motherboard and CPU and will hopefully be getting things up and running again this weekend - it has been so long since I saw Vista so I really have to make this a priority. I have some cool flash image thing of my work so far, but as it is on my floor at the moment waiting to be taken apart there won't be any shots for a little while longer.

What next?
Going to Amsterdam next month for some drunken antics with the Neowin and Bink fellahs which should be fun, but there might be more details of that later if anyone is brave enough to attend. Also hoping to attend CeBit although I don't think it is quite the same as CES as Microsoft will be having their own Mix06 and MVP summits to think about around that time, so it looks like it will just be all the latest and greatest hardware - gutted.
