Some users have recieved this email from Microsoft, not me because Microsoft haven't sent me e-mail since I changed my user account from hotmail to my main account, this reminds me that I need to get that sorted out (even though my last request was still ignored).

"As a small measure of our appreciation for your help in testing Windows Server SP1 and Windows x64 on the Technical Beta, we are offering active participants a complimentary full copy of Windows Professional x64 Edition. This will be done as a downloadable ISO file only, but will be a licensed copy of Windows Professional x64 Edition. (i.e. not an eval copy). Right now we are making final preparations to have the download, product keys, and other necessary infrastructure. You should expect this offer in the next few weeks."
Its funny as this is how I always thought I would eventually get my copy of Windows x64 and I have been pushing hard on the whole Windows x64 (or Windows for Extended Systems) as it was known back then, but I have pretty much obtained a copy through all other means now, but I don't know... the selfish part of me wants yet another copy. What is the definition of an active participant? I filled out the surveys, been working with various companies to get their products compatible, but I still remain stoic on newsgroups - I can't stand em.

Well this should really help to keep the 64bit revolution rolling, I am still on the fence about whether this product should be retail - I actually thing it would confuse the average user to some extent, it is available to those that really want to get a copy, but perhaps rather than retail copies on shelves it should be made available for purchase on the Microsoft website only.
