Everyone else seems to be in Seattle, so I thought I would break the trend by not being there. I have been keeping myself busy though - our server problems continue getting to the point where I will have Eva from Vbulletin take a look, whether it is free or not isn't an issue, having a site that is up and stays up is far more important to me.

I sent NetRyder to WinHEC on pain of death and he has free stuff already, including a NVIDIA 6800 GT and an AMD 64 4000+ in a shiny case, oh and a load of other stuff that makes the trip more than worth it and the event hasn't even started yet! You can read NetRyder's blog here: http://netryder.osnn.net/winhec2005/ only has a few shots of last nights antics up so far but coverage will continue. Onto the x64 bits and a couple of tasty morsels for you all today!

? Starting with updated Soundblaster drivers for x64 that are set to expire in August you can check those out here: http://www.osnn.net/comments.php?shownews=11982 . I decided to mirror the files as the Creative Developer site was slow as hell yesterday, I can't see any difference with the new driver (World of Warcraft doesn't seem to crash on exit now, but it doesn't always crash so I will keep tabs on that)

? I got a message from Even Balance and apparently PunkBuster will have support for Windows x64 within the week, which is excellent news as I haven't been able to play Call of Duty with my clan mates, which was really frustrating. Keep an eye on http://www.punkbuster.com for updates.

? I also contacted Raxco as they told me in a previous mail if there was anything I ever needed. Well I asked. When is a 64bit version coming? Will it be a free upgrade from 7 (although I recommended a full release rather than a patch as there is an error on installation that would freak the ignorant out a little), I will post up any reply I receive.

? Microsoft have launched the trade up program, no doubt to go with the official launch, I haven't tried it out just yet but you can check out all the details here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/6...e/default.mspx
I haven't checked it out just yet, but I will post more details on it a little later when I have run my Retail XP 32bit through the motions.

Oh no, that is all for now faithful readers and we sat in the Korova Milk Bar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova Milk Bar sold milk plus - milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old Ultra-Violence. Sorry went a bit Clockwork Orange there, it happens.
