Now I was playing the beta for this game and wrote a quick review. I was going to write a full review to this released game and read a wicked awesome review from 1UP, which I love, i agree on basically everything. Check this out.
I've never been huge on real-time strategy games. I think at least part of that has been the fact that, in addition to gold, lumber, vespene, and whatever other resources I need to keep track of, the primary commodity seems to be my own attention. With a million little guys running all over the map and the task of navigating the tech tree from the Stone Age to starships, I need about six more eyeballs and the ability to move my fingers like a tap dancing centipede. Sometimes I wish I could just have one giant goddamn walking castle to worry about. Ideally, it would also have a hammer for hitting guys. And maybe a tower with a laser on it. Hey, somebody made a game like that. Fantastic.
