osnnraptor: i actually have one of the OCZ Core v2 30GB drives (on Newegg for $69 and also a $20 MIR to make it $49). Booting.... very freakin nice. Think last i tested, Vista Ultimate x64 after a relatively clean install (after installing video drivers, sound, mouse, and a few apps) was booting in about 30 seconds. I've heard that XP can boot in almost half that. Probably slightly quicker in RAID. I can tell you though..... if those OCZ Vertex drives come out, and can be had on Newegg for a decent amount less than what that article quotes (which tends to happen between the MSRP and the internet prices), i'm probably gonna buy two and eBay the one i have.... or both that i'll have if i get one for xmas too.

I dual boot XP/Vista on my VelociRaptor (non-raid) and XP boots in at about 10 seconds while Vista comes in at about 25.

.... how the crap did this show up in my User CP as having activity lately? hell, it's coming up on the 1-year anniversary of activity.
