I understand that, but the score system only has a rating of 1.0 - 5.0.
My argument is, HOW can the subcategories be higher than 5.0.

Curent system:
Intel Quad Core 9450 | 4GB RAM | WD Raptor 36GB | nVidia 8800GT 512mb

Microsoft changed the rating system post beta 2 due to feedback. I believe it is 1 to 8 now.

not bad results for a 3 year old machine... could be four not sure, but Vista performs really well on my machine. Upgrade coming next year Dual Core 2GB DDR RAM... beat of a machine and selling on the other machine as whole, but not sure what price to sell it for yet.

Lack: it doesn't really go by speed, but more along the lines of ammount (seems to be judged in comparison to minimum and recommended specs)

Core 2 Quad Q9450 | 4GB DDR2 800 | Abit IP-35 Pro | eVGA GTX 295+

Figured my gig of Dual Chan OCZ ram would have given me a better score, and my X2 as well.

I wonder what I would score on my production system.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
Corsair XMS2 DDR2 SDRAM 2GB, 6400/800MHz
ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB
2X Western Digital Raptor X 150GB, 10000RPM, 16MB (RAID 0)

I bet it would score well.

Upgraded to RC2 and got a better score: 4.7 for graphics instead of 4.6 and 5.4 for memory instead of 5.1 (now titled memory operations per second).

C2D, the best processor known to man, only rated 5.5? I don't think the C2E would rate much higher.
