Default 3dmark score ??

I recently purchased new hardware, this is my configuration

P4 3.06 ghz, 9800 pro, 2 gig ddr ram

I did a 3dmark and this is my score. I dont know if this is ordinary coz i heard that the highest score is 8k on a better machine. Is this normal ?

That score is actually a low for your specs. Maybe some tweaking is in order?

uh, you're thinking of 3dmark2001. that's a 2003 score.

that's either a hoax or a bug. no other explanation.

Oops...my bad. I just looked at the numbers and not the bench. Gotta be a fluke, because there's no way.

What score do you get on 01 or Aquamark?

That'll even it out - also submit your result and post the link to the result page on futuremark and we can have a look at the breakdown.

yes its normal when you don't post any other game details or a link to the saved score fyi... there is no possible way anyone can get that score on current hardware @ default settings..

nice little prank m8...

Always so quick to jump the gun...perhaps theres something wrong with his configuration thats causing such a high score...

3dmark03 is gpu limited... not cpu limited... therefore it is unlikely that at default settings anyone can get that score... not even on the worlds fastest production cpu with both cpu and gpu using LN cooling...

it is just not possible...

if you know how a benchmark works you automatically know when there is a fake score or a score that has come about through non-default settings...

in this case... I will automatically assume the poster is 'lieing' because I know how 3dmark03 works...

Nice screen shot with the score blocking the detail results that would confirm it...

I think he really needs to get in there and tweak that system!

He should probably overclock it too. My XP 2000 and 9500 PRO are benchmarking out almost as good as his system on 3D Mark 03 and with no overclocking. Or maybe it's that Prophet ATI knock off card causing the problems...

The most important thing to learn from this thread is that the first liar never wins. ;-)

None taken. It was too obvious to be real. Besides I needed the practice with Photoimpact...
