I currently have the multiplier set to 12.5x166 giving me 2800+ performance and temps of around 41C at load. Anyhow, the multiplier in the bios will go higher than 12.5, but if I set it higher than that, when I reboot it starts up at a default 11x100. My question is how do I unlock the multiplier so I can try out 13 and above? Thanks! |

not posible to my knowledge, you have to Modify the chip.
Check Tomshardware guide, they have a walkthrough on how to do it, its quite simple. |

My tbred is unlocked and was like that when I got it I can set the mulitplier at whatever setting I want .. all through the bios sometimes I run it at 142x12.5=1.775ghz or like right this minute at 11.5x150=1.725ghz
its an Athlon 1800+ default would be 11.5x133=1.53ghz So some are unlocked and some are not ...
